"Are they abstract?" -exhibition (until 30.11.2025) presents the diversity of abstract art through the works of more than 50 artists from 1965 to 2025.The exhibition encourages free, playful and participatory exploration of art - with activity points to inspire you to experiment with creativity yourself.

Vipsun Seasonal Challenge - Half price season ticket to Vauhtipuisto!

Oulu's own amusement park The Speed Park opens its doors on 31.5.2025 and kicks off the summer with the Vipsu seasonal challenge. If 3,500 participants take part, season tickets will be given to at half price:

Children over 110 cm: 54 €
Children under 110 cm or adult: 44 €

The season ticket entitles you to fun throughout the season from 31 May to 23 August, free Potnapekka transport from 30 June to 11 August, admission to the Bread and Circuses Festival on 23 August and participation in the adult evenings.

The campaign is valid until 31 May. If the target is met, participation is binding - otherwise no fee will be charged.

Spring arrives in the Sanginjoki - Loppula Nature Café invites you on a hike

Spring and summer are the golden time for hikers in the Sangin River Nature Reserve. The area's varied trails, soothing forest nature and Loppula Nature Café offer experiences for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and levels. The café is generally open to the public on weekends from 11am to 4pm, and at other times the facilities are available on request for private and corporate use.

Programme services offer both pulse-pounding activities and deeper forest tranquillity. For example, you can choose from an exhilarating forest trail, forest yoga, workshops in nature poetry and stone painting, or a ranger picnic to learn the basics of camping around a campfire.

The Loppula pancake with jam and whipped cream is worth the trip in itself, but there are also sweet and savoury treats on offer - such as spruce pie and filling soups.

First dips of the summer - Oulu Lappis Water Park opens on 31 May!

Oulu Lappis Water Park will open again in May - and the first swims will be taken from 31.5.!
The water park is located in a stunning location in Linnansaari, right next to the Oulu Canoeing Centre, on the shores of the Suisto River. You can easily get there at Linnansaari 1, on the corner of Ystävyyspuisto. Come and challenge yourself and your friends on the floating ninja tracks at Lapland Water Parks, which offer just the right amount of challenge and, above all, fun - for children and adults alike. The rides combine exercise, play and water - the perfect way to spend a warm summer's day!
